About the Course

When so much of our happiness and success in life depends on our accurate judgment of people and their actions, we do well to practice on the characters and events of a drama…

Drama and great literature certainly help us to make sense of our lives and the actions of others and it is certainly true that the quality of our lives are influenced, if not determined by our ability to communicate effectively.

The emphasis throughout this day will be on using our imagination, interpreting what we read and performance skills. The session will be structured to reflect these key aims and will be tailored to reflect the experience of the participants. It is suitable for complete beginners as well as those more seasoned performers. There will be a focus on improvisation and script work. However, no learning can happen unless there is enjoyment so we won’t be taking ourselves too seriously.
