New Zealand Landscape Painting
Are you passionate about art? Would you like to extend your creativity through learning the skills and techniques for creating a landscape using acrylic paints? But not sure where or how to start?
Trained teacher and established artist Katrina McGettigan is excited to be coming to the Methven Summer School this year and will be offering a unique painting workshop. Katrina will provide you with step by step instructions for how to paint a stunning New Zealand landscape scene from a photo. You will learn new skills in colour mixing, brush techniques and composition. Then at the end of the course you will walk away with a completed painting to hang with pride in your home.

Katrina McGettigan grew up in Methven and is now living in Christchurch. Katrina loves to capture the beauties of New Zealand on canvas and also offers art tuition for adults and children in her recently opened Art Gallery and Studio (Kat's Art Studio in Christchurch) and Emmily Harmer Studio in Ashburton.
Katrina is an award winning artist and has exhibited her work widely, both throughout New Zealand, and more recently internationally. Her inspiration comes from the breathtaking and ever changing landscapes within her region of Canterbury and throughout New Zealand.
