BUILD A HERB PLANTER BOX
In this course students will construct their very own three-tier planter ladder. Standing roughly one-metre tall by 70cm wide, this will make a great addition to anyone's garden. It will include three planter troughs perfectly sized for planting herbs, flowers or anything you wish.
Students will cut and screw the timber together to house the troughs, so will need a keen hand with measuring and hand sawing. The option to oil the box with linseed is also available.
Tools you will need to bring:
- A good hand saw
- Tape measure and/or ruler
- Pencil
- Square rule
- Adjustable spanner
- A drill (a couple on hand that can be shared around)
Introducing Jacob Keeley
Jacob is a local carpenter in the Methven community and has been building for nine years with a local company, Big River Builders, learning many valuable skills along the way.
As much as he enjoys building the big stuff, he also enjoys crafting smaller constructions like letter boxes, garden gates and toys for his two young kids. He looks forward to having you come along!
