CANDLE MAKING with Mandy Johnson

CANDLE MAKING

During the morning we will be making several soya candles. After lunch we will move onto the beeswax candles. Making three different styles - poured, dipped & rolled.

We will be making:

• Flower candle
• Wine glass candle
• Teacup candle
• Beeswax poured
• Beeswax dipped
• Beeswax rolled

Bring: Each student is to bring a wine glass , teacup & straight sided water glass .

Wear: Comfortable clothes and clothes you don’t mind getting something spilt on!

Introducing Amanda Johnson

Amanda is a full time soap and candle maker. She has been making soaps and candles for about 18 years. Her passion is making artisan soap and beautiful candles which she started making as gifts. She continues to learn more every time she makes them as there are so many varieties and styles - it is endless.

Amanda lives in Ashburton, and has businesses called ‘Tiny Farm Candles and Soaps ‘and also the ‘Waterford Soap Co’. She sells at markets and has several retail outlets. You may have come across her products around Canterbury.
