PEARL KNOTTING - KNOT YOUR OWN STRAND OF PEARLS
Using traditional techniques and your own take-home beading starter kit, hand knot a Princess length, 43cm freshwater white baroque pearl necklace with a silver-coloured clasp.
In the morning the class will all knot their necklaces together, step-by-step. Once you've got the knack you can then go on to make a matching bracelet using the same method, and a pair of dainty earrings in the afternoon.
You will take away with you a "How To" booklet and a keep kit. The keep kit will contain:
- A4 beading board, one-metre square piece of black soft fleece cloth
- needle pliers
- B7000 jeweling glue,
- french wire
- spacer beads
- two stainless sleel clasps in bright silver, gold or rose gold colour
- two-metres of natural pearl silk and needle
- one bead saver thread end clip
- 57cm of 6mm-10mm freshwater baroque pearls
- 3 metres of pearl knotting polymide thread
- 2 ear wires
- 2 matched pearls for earrings
- 2 head pins
- a satin, organza or velvet jewelry pouch
There will be extra gemstone and findings available to fast learners who want to make earrings or bracelets in the afternoon.
