SEW & TELL

Sewing lessons for all ages and stages. Make something fun from scratch or tailor an existing garment. Mel's class includes a preliminary chat to help decide on a project suitable for the time period.
Join Sew and Tell with Mel, an award winning designer and expert sewist, with decades of experience.
In Mel's business - Humming Hems - she makes one-off made-to-measure dresses and repairs snow clothes and everything in between. She loves sharing her well honed skills with other keen sewers and learners.

NB: The lunch add-on is for both days.

Introducing Melissa Knight

Melissa's experience comes from decades of sewing and designing in the fashion industry. She has worked with Couture Bridal Studios, founded her own fashion and snow-wear brands and designed 100-piece collections.

Her designs and skills have been nationally recognised. She won the Brands Award at the Modus Operandi and was finalist in The Cult Couture.

As a co-founder of Mel & Zoe's Alteration and Design Studio in Redcliffs, she ran a popular sewing school, empowering students to develop their skills and confidence through design.

She is known for her creativity, her designer's eye and her warm and supportive teaching style. She looks forward to a fun two days of sharing and making!
